Marvella history: Marvella was a popular costume jewelry brand known for its high quality. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based Weinrich Brothers Company is the owner of the Marvella trademark. In 1911, the Marvella mark was first used. Weinrich Bros. was the original name of the business; it subsequently became Marvella Pearls, Inc. by 1950 and Marvella, Inc. circa 1965. The company made costume jewelry, with a focus on imitation pearls. They also produced jewelry for different businesses. Over the years, a number of trademarks were utilized, many of which used the term Marvella in some capacity (Marvilla Couture, Marvelique, Marvellier, etc.). In 1982, the Crystal Brands Jewelry group purchased the company. Then, in 2000, Liz Claiborne, Inc. bought it.
